Group home

We are a small, specialized group home that offers a warm, family-like environment for adults with developmental disabilities, autism, and FASD profiles. Our approach respects each person’s choices and is based on individualized support. We make sure each resident receives the level of support they need to thrive and fully enjoy a life enriched by friendship, independence, and active community participation. We encourage them to build a life they truly love by participating in activities they enjoy. This may include exploring creative activities, relaxing with video games, participating in sports, or joining our organized outings to museums, theme parks, and cultural sites. We ensure their days are active, fulfilling, and uniquely theirs.

Respite Stays Service

In addition to our residential program, we offer flexible respite stays to support families and caregivers and provide a welcoming home away from home. We provide short-term respite care, such as day stay and weekend stays, as well as longer-term respite options from one week to several months. To make these services available to more people, we have expanded our respite services beyond our residence by working with other organizations, serving nearby communities, and working directly with families.

Our Staff

Our staff members are highly trained to provide quality, compassionate care. They receive specialized training in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and FASD. Staff are also trained in non-violent crisis intervention and first aid.
Many team members have been with the residence for over 20 years. This long-term stability is essential in building trust, consistency, and a sense of security for residents.

Gaming & Technology

Residents enjoy interactive activities while developing their digital skills. They can connect with their peers and deepen their understanding of technology in a fun and engaging environment.

Physical activity

We believe in the importance of physical activity at Résidence Léonard, we create opportunities for residents to engage in various activities and exercise routines, promoting not just fitness but also companionship and a sense of accomplishment.

Cooking Activities

Cooking is an important daily activity within our residence. Residents are actively involved in planning and preparing meals, allowing them to develop practical life skills in a supportive and engaging environment. Through hands-on participation, residents learn to follow recipes, practice kitchen safety, make healthy food choices, and work together as a team. Meals are prepared on site, turning cooking into a meaningful activity that promotes independence, confidence, and enjoyment.
